Vacation, all I ever wanted!

I know that you all were wondering where I ran off to this past week.  Just sitting at your computer, twiddling your thumbs, waiting for one of my posts to appear on your screen and the post never came.  I am so sorry for abandoning you.  I give you permission to blame me for your abandonment issues at your next therapy session.  Where was I?  I went on vacation!  Just me and the hubby, footloose and fancy free, cruising around California. 

I should have told you earlier of my leave, but I only had a week to plan.  I was given some unexpected vacation time by my boss and oh baby you better believe that I took it!  I fully intended to blog the whole vacation first-hand, but my husband's laptop screen gave out on him a few days prior to take-off.  No computer, thus no posts.  I guess I should get my own laptop, huh?  I feel a birthday present idea...hint, hint!

Vacation was fabulous!  My husband surprised me by planing the whole thing.  He arranged all the flights, hotels, and activities.  He also refused to tell me anything about the vacation until the morning of each day.  It was very exciting.  He did a great job, though being frugal is not one of his strong points.  Let's just say that I'm thankful that we don't have to pay for any more vacations this year...lol.

Here were the highlights of our trip:

• Food, food, and more food!
• San Francisco and SFMoma
• Drinking cocktails at an original Speakeasy
• Seeing the musical Wicked
• Touring wineries in Napa
• Riding in a hot air balloon
• Wine tasting in Sonoma
• And best of all...relaxing!

Since I have sooooo much to tell you about, I'll write a separate post for each highlight.  Now you'll have many blog posts to look forward to!  But for now, I'll leave you with this:
